The Role:
The Youth & Play Service are responsible for providing positive activities borough wide for young people aged 11 to 19 years (25 years with SEN) as well as delivery of Adventure Playgrounds for children aged 8 to 15 years. These services are provided in a variety of building based youth centres and adventure playgrounds across the borough.
The post holder will support the management of the day-to-day operation of an open access play facility, delivering play opportunities, across all Play Types to children and young people.

About You:
The post holder will carryout the following duties (but not limited to) -
- To work directly with children and young people to support their personal development by providing appropriate programmes of activities, services and facilities
- To support events, activities and supervise children and young people using play facilities ensuring that said facilities operate effectively so that the provision contributes to the service and departmental objectives.
- To support the development and delivery of a programme of positive activities, enjoyable and interesting to the children and young people taking part in them.
- To take part in consultations with children and young people to ensure their voices are included in programmes and service activity.
- To ensure the maintenance of agreed records including user registers, contacts, doctors, accident books, financial transactions, risk assessments, output data and basic reports.
The Play Offer is delivered Tuesdays to Saturdays. We will require post holders to work on Fridays and Saturdays across all these vacancies
