The Role:
There is an opportunity for a planner in Planning Policy
This role will involve writing policy, research, monitoring, partnership working and working with consultants as well as working on the Local Plan. The role will also involve providing advice on policy issues. Suitable candidates must have a planning qualification and they should be able to demonstrate knowledge of planning policy particularly an understanding of strategic planning issues, how to interpret them simply and translate complex issues into development management policies.

About you:
This role will be challenging, requiring candidates to be enthusiastic and passionate about learning and contributing to the wide variety of work undertaken by the division.
You will have policy qualification and experience.
We want to develop Planners and provide training and support to increase skills and experience within a very experienced and capable Planning and Growth Division. You will come to us with a good understanding of planning within an urban context and an attitude where you put the customer first.
