The role

Would you like to work in a busy design and conservation team in Southwark?

We have an opportunity for a forward thinking planner with design and heritage qualifications and experience who have an understanding of the  challenges that an inner London authority like Southwark faces.  The heritage team is responsible for writing policies, making decisions and recommendations regarding heritage and conservation that will have far reaching and lasting effects as part of regeneration and protection of a wide range of places.

Requirement:

To succeed you will be expected to have an appropriate qualification in the area of work and experience in delivering high quality design and conservation planning services including development management, the preparation of  policy and delivery of related projects.

You will be an excellent communicator, using your experience, skills and knowledge of relevant legislation and strategy to influence others and achieve positive outcomes and value for money for the people of Southwark.

You will be comfortable in working as part of a team and have experience in design and conservation policy planning applications working to ensure the highest quality and most efficient service delivery.
