The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Southwark Council to help support and procure placements and individual packages of support for Children’s and Adult’s Services .
As a Placement Coordinator, you will be required to undertake negotiations of individual placements / packages and contribute information about the quality, availability and sustainability of the market for health and social care services and keep accurate records and reports on placements and financial activities.
You will be responsible for maintaining positive working relationships with providers to collect and maintain accurate information on cost, quality and value for money of services and their compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Additionally, you will take full responsibility to develop, maintain and facilitate upon a network of providers, negotiate appropriate care packages for adults, children and young people that represents high quality and value for money.
You will maintain accurate and up to date placements records in the business system, develop and deliver clear recommendations and work cooperatively with relevant areas of the Council to ensure a consistent approach is applied to performance accordingly.
