The role

About Southwark:

Southwark is a large, ambitious and progressive council with a ‘can do’ attitude and enviable reputation. As a Council, we are successful, passionate and forward-thinking. We are committed to our ‘Fairer Futures for All’ promise, which ensures that our children and families are central to everything we do.

The Role:

The Performance Analyst and Power BI Developer role currently available in Southwark will drive forward the Power BI development programme for the Children and Families Division including the writing of reports to extract data from various case management systems.

The role’s purpose is focused on the technical aspects of utilising Power BI to its fullest potential. At a time of reducing budgets, you will work with the Children and Families Management Information Unit, Heads of Service, Service Managers, Team Managers and front line staff to translate business requirements into accurate visual management information through the building and direction of meaningful dashboards and reports allowing for actionable insights.

About You:

We want only the best for Southwark and we are seeking a Performance Analyst (Power BI Developer) with a strong background in Children’s Social Care and associated service such as Family Early Help, Youth Justice Services, and Children and Family Centres.

You will have an excellent track record of achievement and deliverables. The successful candidate will be expected to have strong technical, data and analytical abilities, sound leadership and excellent people and communication skills.

You will work closely with the service directorate to understand their needs and help shape these into visual dashboards to support them in their day to day duties.
