The role

Pause works to improve the lives of women who have had – or are at risk of having – more than one child removed from their care, and the services and systems that affect them. The program gives women the chance to pause and take control over their lives, breaking a destructive cycle that causes both them and their children deep trauma. Pause Practices work directly with women, so that no woman should ever have to experience the removal of a child more than once. We offer an intensive, supportive 18-month programme that involves a trusting relationship between a woman and their Pause Practitioner.

Visit https://www.pause.org.uk/what-we-do/ if you’d like to hear more about the Practitioner role.

As a Pause Practitioner, you will be responsible for implementing a range of creative interventions and support measures as part of an integrated package of health, therapeutic and social support. Pause is specifically designed to support the complex needs of women, being alongside them to enable change in their lives rather than doing this for/to them. You will work systemically in delivering a relationship based programme where frequency, tenacity and creativity are central.
