About the Service
Southwark Children’s Services have been delivering evidenced based parenting programmes for over twenty years. During this period and as part of the development of our Keeping Families Strong strategy parents and carers, children and young people have shared invaluable feedback on how parenting support has helped them as a family. Children have told us their parents are calmer, have more patience, there are clearer boundaries, better communications and they spend more time together as a family, contributing to positive outcomes for children and young people.
About the Role
This position has become vacant at an interesting time of new opportunities in the development of Southwark Family Hubs. This is an exciting opening for a dynamic frontline manager/senior practitioner who is social work qualified or holds a related professional qualification, to enhance established partnerships within the statutory, community and voluntary sector to expand the delivery of a strong parenting offer for the borough.
What we are looking for from you
We are looking for a candidate who has extensive experience of working with parents and families, a passion and real commitment to promote excellence in evidenced based parenting practice to deliver high quality outcomes for children and families. An energetic individual who is able to adapt their management and leadership style to help promote confidence and be accountable for the practice and development of others.
