The Role
Southwark Council is now seeking a dynamic Personal Assistant (PA) to join our team, supporting both the Director of HR & OD and the Director of Communications & Marketing. In this role, you'll become the maestro of diary management, orchestrating complex schedules with finesse. From prioritising appointments to gracefully handling last-minute adjustments, your organisational skills will shine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communication lies at the heart of what we do, and you'll be at the forefront. As the primary point of contact for our Directors.
- You'll handle queries and correspondence with a blend of professionalism and discretion, ensuring every interaction reflects Southwark Council values.
- Arrange and coordinate meetings and functions, ensuring they run seamlessly from start to finish.
- Briefing the Directors, keeping them informed and representing them with poise to stakeholders and external partners.
- Provide meeting notes, summaries and assign actions and owners.
How will you make an impact as our PA to Directors HR & Communications?
- Previous PA experience supporting Senior Management preferably within a local authority, charity or public sector organisation.
- We're looking for someone with strong written and verbal skills.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office and Diary Management applications
- Able to handle sensitive matters, your tact, diplomacy, empathy, and sensitivity will be your greatest assets.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Expertise in managing agendas, diaries, and juggling conflicting priorities
This role offers flexible home working blended with travel into our London Bridge HQ.
