The role
As an Organisational Development Officer, you’ll play a central role in shaping an inclusive, dynamic environment that supports growth, engagement, and innovation. Working closely with the Organisational Development Partner, your expertise will be key in delivering initiatives that enhance employee engagement, recognition, and equality, diversity, and inclusion across our organisation.
Your day-to-day will involve leading and supporting a variety of projects designed to foster a positive and inclusive workplace. You’ll be responsible for coordinating engagement activities, organising workshops, and managing the production of essential materials like presentations and reports. Collaborating across teams, you’ll work with colleagues at every level to ensure that the council's priorities and people power plan come to life through innovative and engaging organisational development programs.
In addition, you’ll manage the employee survey and staff awards event, ensuring these key initiatives run smoothly and make a meaningful impact. You’ll also play a vital role in maintaining the organisational development intranet pages, ensuring that they’re always updated with relevant, helpful information. Whether it’s arranging events or supporting finance processes, your contribution will ensure that the wider OD team operates seamlessly.
At the heart of your role is the mission to champion a more inclusive, anti-racist organisation. You'll have the opportunity to model and inspire positive behaviours that reflect the council's values, while being part of a team that’s truly committed to making a difference. • Lead and support workshops, both in-person and virtually, while co-ordinating key employee engagement events and activities.
• Maintain the organisational development intranet pages, ensuring accurate, up-to-date content is accessible to all employees.
• Support in delivering the annual employee survey and staff awards event, ensuring they are successful and impactful.
• Provide administrative support to the Organisational Development team, assisting with everything from finance processes to organising away days and social events.
