The role:
Focused on ensuring that we deliver the highest standards of customer care while fulfilling our statutory responsibilities, you will take a lead in the enforcement of noise and nuisance legislation. We’ll look to you to provide expert advice to management and Noise support officers within the team, and other departments. While supporting management and fellow officers to ensure that timely and robust action is taken. As well as delivering the authorities promise on a zero tolerance approach to noise and anti-social behaviour
The requirement:
Experience of providing specialist advice and guidance within at least one field in environmental health, relating to noise, it will be supported by a relevant degree or equivalent noise qualification. Practical knowledge and experience of environmental health and noise nuisance legislation, criminal law, including PACE, will also be essential.
The council welcomes applications from newly qualified officers.
Additional Information:
The hours will be over a 10 week rotating shift pattern covering seven days a week
Applicants must hold a full driving licence which is valid to drive within the UK
Excellent conflict and negotiating resolution skills are essential
