The role

£30,618 - £34,689 per annum

We are looking for a Female with experience of supporting children and adults with learning disabilities to join our team as a Night Residential Support Worker.

Orient Street Short Breaks Respite Service is for children and adults with learning disabilities. It provides a safe, caring and stimulating living environment for children and young people with learning disabilities.

As a Night Residential Support Worker your focus would be on providing this safe and caring environment while also offering opportunities for resident’s to maximise their independence and engage in ordinary living and community life. This includes the provision of personal care, domestic care, manging health and safety and implementing activities for residents.

There is a necessity to be able to maintain records of activities and be able to update plans and risk assessments as needed.

Successful candidates will need to have an understanding of the needs of carers and the importance or respite care, knowledge of other social care roles and other professions and statutory organisations such as Ofsted and CQC.

This is an opportunity to provide a vital role in supporting carers to provide care to children and adults with learning disabilities while developing a career in care with access training and development opportunities.  

Please note the post holder will be expected to:

  • Work shifts as part of a 7 day rota. Shifts are typically 9:30pm - 7:30am
  • Have an enhanced DBS 5 year employment record and QCF level three qualification or equivalent qualification.
  • Be fully Vaccinated for COVID, to be complaint with government regulations from 11th November 2021
