The salary range for this position is:£40,005 - £46,053
It is an exciting time to be a newly qualified social worker (NQSW) in Southwark, you will be both challenged and supported to undertake rewarding and impactful work alongside our children, young people, families and communities. We have a stable long standing senior leadership team who know, and are deeply connected to the community and are passionate about supporting outstanding social work practice. We are looking for Newly Qualified Social Workers to start on our ASYE programme in May / June 2024. We have a number of different roles within Southwark Children’s Services which focus on supporting children, young people, their families and carers.
Our practice is child-centred, family minded and strengths based. We have an outstanding ASYE programme supported by an experienced and dedicated team of social workers who offer outstanding early career support.
You will have access to a programme of additional structured support beyond your ASYE alongside an accelerated progression scheme because we value the growth of your skills, knowledge and experience in helping to achieve the best outcomes for children
You will have two dedicated Professional Educators to additionally support your learning through your ASYE year.
You will have access to Clinical Practitioners within your teams and service who support and facilitate Group Supervision on a weekly to fortnightly basis.

You will be supported to undertake the complex, skilful work needed to get to know children and really understand what their day to days lives are, by identifying family strengths and resources as well as issues and concern, you will develop plans with children, families, carers and networks to ensure that each child support needs are well catered for in planning and intervention to ensure the right support is put in place at the right to enable our children, young people, families and communities to achieve good outcomes.

Additional details
Starting salary is £40,005 per annum - progressing to £42,855 upon successful completion.
