The Role:

Working face to face and indirectly with the public, you will provide a triage service, aimed at ensuring those in need, gain access to the most appropriate services.

You’ll play an integral part of our “One Front Door” services for children and families in Southwark. Key tasks will include gathering and providing information, processing new referrals into services, being mindful of strict deadlines and most importantly the need to safeguard and promote the well being of children and families.

About You:

You will have excellent and well developed customer service skills as part of your daily role in providing a telephone screening service, advice, clarification as well as signposting.

Ideally you will bring knowledge of the responsibilities, duties and services in place to safeguard children and young people. In addition you have the experience to enable you make appropriate decisions about referrals and the skills needed to listen, gather and record essential information.

Your excellent IT skill will be in demand as well as strong interpersonal skills, reliability, stamina and highly developed organisational skills.
