The Role:
This role is based on the Local Support Team within Exchequer Services.
The team plays a crucial role in offering advice and support to customers experiencing financial hardship or who are vulnerable.
The team is also responsible for administration of the Southwark Emergency Support Scheme (SESS), Hardship Fund (HF), income maximisation service and the administration of the Test & Trace Support Scheme.
You will provide key administrative support and assistance to the Local Support Team, as well as interacting directly with customers and stakeholders over the phone, resolving calls of a simple nature.
You will process referral forms from all departments and external agencies, making bookings and appointments as necessary, by utilising your knowledge of different welfare benefit types and their entitlement rules.
About You:
You must be a team player, flexible, enthusiastic, keen to use your excellent communication and IT skills to maintain records and systems, and would welcome the challenge of working within a busy team that will continue to evolve and face new challenges.
Additional salary details
We will only consider applications from internal candidates, that are current employees or agency workers on an active assignment
