About the role

The purpose of this role is to work as part of the Street Lighting team to achieve their strategic objectives. The role will focus on policy, procedures and specification across borough wide lighting & electrical assets. 

The role will be pivotal in ensuring our carbon neutral pledge is adhered to and will have a large part to play in key decisions and strategies in tackling this, through driving efficiencies and innovative ways of working and technology.

 

About you:

You will be assisting the Principle Lighting Engineer in lighting design compliance, internally to the council as well as liaison with external stakeholders. You will have the ability and knowledge of the most relevant British Standards and be competent in the verification and commissioning of external lighting designs.

You will represent the council and will be expected to attend and contribute to various liaison groups and institutions such as London Lighting Engineers Group, Adept and the Institution of Lighting Professionals.
