We are seeking dynamic and experienced Team Leaders to join our Regulatory Services team. In this role, you will work closely with other service team leaders and the manage the delivery of commercial licence policy, applications and enforcement. The service delivers statutory functions in enabling businesses to apply for licences following statutory procedures and enforcement of unlicensed premises and non-compliant operators.
You will also align your efforts with wider divisional and council priorities to enhance performance within Regulatory Services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with service team leaders and the manager to strategically develop and implement licensing workplans and policies.
• Lead and manage a team of principal enforcement officers, enforcement officers, and support staff
• Ensure the team provides a regulatory service that protects the community, adhering to relevant legislation and Council procedures, including the Enforcement Concordat, Enforcement Protocol, Regulatory Services Enforcement Policy.
• Drive the delivery of performance targets within Regulatory Services, contributing to the achievement of broader council objectives.
About You:
• A relevant degree in an appropriate discipline or an equivalent academic or professional qualification;
• Ongoing professional and managerial development;
• Sound experience of working in a partnership environment;
• Current or recent experience working in licensing;
• Proven experience in leading, developing, and monitoring the performance of staff involved in partnership working;
• Strong background in policy development, strategic planning, and implementation within a partnership context;
• Expertise in applying and interpreting research methodology and advanced methods of statistical analysis, with the ability to present complex statistical information to diverse audiences.
