The role

As the public face of the library, you’ll be there to offer everyone a warm welcome. You’ll make sure all of the day-to-day operations run smoothly, including answering queries, shelving books, checking out and returning books, and joining new members.

A range of posts are available:

11 hours - Saturday and Sunday

8 hours - Saturday and Sunday

4 hours - Saturday

About You:

We are looking for people with great communication skills and a high standard of customer care who can show understanding to a wide range of customers. It’s very important that you’ve strong organisation skills and can work well in a team. You will have a good understanding of basic computing, including word processing and web browsing and an enthusiasm for libraries and promoting literature to all ages.

Additional Information:

- This are a range of part-time permanent positions, working on the weekends (11hrs, 8hrs and 4hrs)

- Standard DBS check will be required
