The role
An opportunity has arisen for a Lawyer in the contracts team at Southwark Council. The post will support all departments across the council, with particular emphasis on the the Housing and Modernisation Department.
The successful candidate will be an admitted Solicitor of England and Wales, with a current practising certificate or eligible to apply for a practising certificate, with 3 years post admission experience or a Barrister called to the bar of England and Wales, with 3 years post call experience or a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives with a current practising certificate or eligible to apply for a practising certificate or a qualified lawyer possessing an equivalent qualification gained in another jurisdiction, with 3 years’ post qualification experience.
The successful candidate will have experience of dealing with local government contract matters and an up to date knowledge of public contracts regulations 2015, especially concerning regeneration agreements.

- Please note, this role has a potential salary package of up to £53,331 PA
(base salary + 5% market factor payment and £2327 HTF payment)
