The Role:
The Junior Project Manager is responsible for managing and delivering small to medium size digital and web transformational projects.
They will support complex, organisational redesign projects and lead on and contribute to multi-disciplinary and multiple project teams to deliver organisational and cultural change across the council.
This position is key to the successful delivery of a range of complex projects and will work across the organisation and with internal and external suppliers. The post holder will ensure that projects are delivered within budget, quality and scope and they are also responsible for project reporting and the production of all project-related documents.
Following a restructure in February 2021, the Technology and Digital Service is made up of three core elements; Applications, Digital Delivery and Technology Transformation.
This role sites within the Digital and Web team. The Portfolio will oversee a vast amount of technology related change for Southwark over the next 12 months. Integral to this change is the council’s web and digital programme, transforming Southwark’s website and enabling key service areas to improve their digital presence. The Junior Project Manager will manage projects within this exciting element of our work.
Technology & Digital Services sits within the Finance division. We are a service that enables the business to transform themselves and the services they deliver in a collaborative way, in accordance with the council’s Technology and Digital Inclusion Strategy.
