Our It Takes A Village (ITAV) programme is looking for a passionate and dedicated ITAV + Coach to join our team and help make a difference today!
About the Role:
This is a two-year opportunity to step into a unique and rewarding role, working at the heart of one of Southwark’s most innovative programmes. You’ll support people facing Multiple Disadvantage - those who experience three or more complex life challenges (e.g. mental health, homelessness, exploitation) - by:
- Offering holistic assessments and pathway facilitation
- Coaching professionals across services to work more effectively around each person’s needs
- Identifying and addressing gaps and barriers in the system
- Promoting trauma-informed and anti-discriminatory ways of working
- Supporting individuals and their families to access meaningful, timely support
Your work will directly contribute to reducing health and social inequalities across Southwark, helping shape services that are inclusive, responsive, and community-led.
About You:
You’re someone who brings energy, compassion, and fresh thinking to challenging issues. You understand that real change requires collaboration, creativity, and a willingness to challenge traditional ways of working.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with people facing complex challenges (e.g. mental health, homelessness, exploitation)
- Communicates clearly and sensitively with individuals, families, and professionals
- Can assess and support people holistically and respectfully
- Understands trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches
- Is confident in leading conversations, influencing practice, and contributing to system change
- Can produce high-quality reports and make compelling cases for service development
About the Team:
You’ll be part of the It Takes A Village (ITAV) team – a collaborative, cross-sector initiative that spans Children’s and Adult Services, working alongside housing, health, voluntary, and grassroots partners.
We’re committed to dismantling barriers to care and ensuring everyone in Southwark, especially those facing the most disadvantage, is seen, heard, and supported. You’ll work closely with the ITAV clinical lead and have the opportunity to shape not only individual outcomes but wider practice and policy.
