The Role:

As part of a dynamic team within Southwark’s Sustainable Growth division, you’ll be involved on a range of projects and publicity organisations, supporting the Director of Planning and Growth to develop and publicise the redevelopment strategy. Set against the Council's 'fair future for all' agenda you'll be working to bring the full benefits of our key opportunities areas to all Southwark's residents.
The post will have a strong delivery focus, developing internal and external communications to promote and maximise awareness about the opportunity and impact of funding.
About you
To thrive in this post you'll have a relevant experience in strategic publicity initiatives and strategy. As a seasoned practitioner you will have an in-depth understanding of Planning and experience of working with a range of public and private organisations.
Most importantly you'll bring the leadership and drive to bring initiatives and innovation to fruition. To do this well you'll be able to negotiate effectively with key players in the industry and decision-making bodies and you will have the skills to communicate well and co-ordinate a wide group of community stakeholders.
