About the Role:
The Role
With the continued impact of the cost of living crisis and Universal Credit full service, the challenge of income collection in Southwark has never been greater. We are looking for an innovative individual with great customer care skills and welfare knowledge. You will work on a patchless basis within one of our Prevent, Resolve and Recover teams to maximise income and rent arrears collection.
As an Income Officer, you will need to be organised, customer focussed, have technical ability to work a varied caseload and deliver against performance targets. You will use your IT, people skills and knowledge to carry out a variety of activities, including home visits, attending rent surgeries and presenting cases in court.

About You:
To be considered for this role you will need to have experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in a social housing or income collection. Ideally, you will need to have experience in the application of housing income collection procedures and policies. You will need to have experience of working in a performance management environment and in meeting personal and team performance targets. You will ideally be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and you will need to be able to negotiate and problem-solve.
