In June 2023, Leisure Services will transfer from the current operator to full Council management. This is a unique opportunity to be part of building a new future for leisure services in Southwark. The Role:
We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Technology Business Analyst to provide transformation advice, guidance and support to the organisation. The post holder will support the Council in achieving its Smart Working objectives through the effective use of technology as well as the adoption of a ‘digital by default’ approach to transformation.
They will identify areas for improvement in terms of process and efficiency and develop effective digital solutions to deliver that improvement in the insourcing of our Leisure Services. Setting up new systems based upon user requirements. Conducting gap analysis by mapping the ‘As Is’ process and creating the new ‘To Be’ process design for a range of services and products.
The Leisure Division sits within the Department of Environment and Leisure, which is responsible for the day-to-day management of parks and open spaces, trees, sports and leisure, cemeteries, youth and play, highways, roads, parking, refuse collection, street cleansing, culture and libraries. It also looks after public health, trading standards and consumer safety.
About You:
- Can demonstrate awareness of the issues facing local government, particularly in relation to service redesign, savings and service delivery
- Can demonstrate knowledge of transformation, service redesign, process mapping, business analysis and service improvement models.
- Can demonstrate extensive knowledge on business processes in a customer focussed business
- Possess broad knowledge of most technical and business resources and use them to effectively coordinate and external resources
- Degree or equivalent qualification
- Prince 2 / Agile certification
- Can demonstrate significant experience in building and sustaining relationship with business departments at a strategic level.

Additional Information:
- Job type – 18month contract (Full Time)
- Will be required to travel to satellite sites such as Leisure Centres as part of the role.
- No DBS check required.
