Here at Southwark Council, we’re passionate about our work, progressive in our thinking and committed to creating fairer futures for all. We put people at the heart of everything we do — whether they’re our residents or our own teams. And as our HR Systems & Data Analyst, you’ll look at the data and ensure that it tells a meaningful story to help our key stakeholders make informed decisions.
You’ll bring your proven data expertise to bear on analysing and interpreting HR systems data, workforce and management information, using the right analytical and statistical methodologies. Producing analytical commentary and narrative reports, you’ll directly enable our business managers and the HR service to support people plans, evaluate progress against performance targets and the council’s strategic objectives. That will involve working closely with HR colleagues and supporting them in operating together.
In addition, you’ll collate and provide a range of HR related data, in response to ad hoc and scheduled requests, internally and externally. Because of this, you’ll need to be able to apply real expertise in interpreting requirements, data management and manipulating data using reporting tools. You’ll also act as a first point of contact as far as supplied data is concerned.
Adept at Excel andPower BI, you might be familiar with Tableau/Qlik. You’ll certainly be able to model all sorts of data using business analytics. As long as you’re a change expert, we’ll train you in our Spinifex system and add to any basic HR knowledge you have. Our data will continue to evolve and get stronger, as will our team, so your personal skills will be as valuable as your technical ones. You’ll need to be outgoing and able to discuss what data analytics means, as well as present it. And you’ll be keen to share your knowledge and work as part of a broader team.
When you join us, you’ll find a workplace that invests in and supports you. You’ll enjoy benefits like flexible working (including compressed hours, flexitime and home working), a choice of great pension schemes, a cycle to work scheme, season ticket loans and more. We’ll also help you reach your full potential with a bespoke training and development package tailored to your interests, and support you to grow a career with us that you can truly be proud of.
