The Role:
HR Generalist will provide a pro-active comprehensive HR service to managers and all employees within Children and Adults Social Care Services. This includes, but is not limited to recruitment, employee relations, policy and procedures, reward, coaching, administration, and project work as required.
Working closely with the Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP) the post holder will be seen as a trusted advisor to the business leaders, while supporting them to create and maintain a great work environment, as well as, in meeting current and future business objectives. You will have an opportunity to play an integral part in delivering organisational and cultural change that we believe will help us achieve a Fairer Future for our residents and Southwark staff.
Please note that the team are currently working remotely and will be gradually returning on site. Initially, there will be no requirement to travel into the office except for training or business-driven meetings. You will be provided with laptops and the relevant tools to work remotely.
About You:
You will have credibility and confidence together with a detailed understanding of a complex public sector organisation.
- Working closely with operational managers across a varied workload to build positive and effective relationships to deliver the best outcomes on a variety of people topics, especially the employee life-cycle
- Managing administration of employee-related paperwork, employment contracts, new starter packs, handling confidential information, handling employee relations issues, assisting with absence and performance management, leading the recruitment process, producing HR reports
- Maintaining effective working relationships with Trade unions and other stakeholders
- Ensuring high-quality outcomes for the business to meet current and future business objectives and improve upon service delivery.
