The Role:

This role in our Housing Department carries responsibility for programming and supporting the delivery of the council’s heat networks strategy. The post holder will oversee issues of budgeting, governance, monitoring, process management, facilitation, scheduling and management reporting.  The role will also provide liaison across multiple council functions, develop new policies and processes to drive operational efficiencies and develop internal and external funding opportunities.

About You:

To be up to the challenge:

-    You will need to be a natural facilitator with strong organisational and programme management skills.  
-    You will understand some of the technical aspects of the investment requirements while maintaining a ‘big picture’ view of the team’s projects and work streams. 
-    You will use your exceptional written and verbal communication skills to drive governance activities, programme management and reporting as well as surveys and service improvement activities. 
-    You will be self-motivated and have a proven track record of programme management and service improvement.  You will be able to balance and prioritise multiple work streams, manage diverse stakeholders and keep a tight rein on project risks and budget impacts. 
-    You may be required to work outside of normal office hours to attend resident and council meetings. Strong IT proficiency and previous experience in a similar role are essential. 


Additional Information:

•    Full time position to join a growing team modernising and improving the council’s district heating service
•    36 hours Monday – Friday, Full time
•    This is a x1 permanent position
