The role
Are you ready to play a crucial role in shaping our community's sustainable future?
As a Heat Meter Charge Officer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our service charges adhere to the 2014 Heat Network (Metering & Billing) Regulations. This role is key to maintaining fairness and transparency in our communal heating charges by meticulously tracking and analysing energy use.

Key responsibilities:
• Provide expert analysis of heat meter data to ensure fair and transparent billing for tenants and homeowners.
• Advise on heat tariffs and billing queries, offering clear and accurate information to residents.
• Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate installations and ensure smooth system operations.
• Investigate discrepancies in data, offering solutions and guidance to resolve any issues.
• Support the calculation of charges and tariffs, working closely with financial teams to ensure accuracy.
• Deliver guidance on regulatory compliance with heat metering regulations, keeping processes aligned with legal standards.
How will you make an impact as our Heat Meter Charge Officer?
• A solid understanding of heat metering legislation and housing management services to ensure compliance.
• Proven experience in analysing and interpreting complex data for accurate billing and tariff calculations.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, to manage and reconcile large datasets effectively.

• A keen eye for detail, ensuring all charges are accurate and transparent.
• Experience working with accounting systems and managing financial data.
• Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
You will join a small, dynamic team dedicated to managing complex data and driving continuous improvement in our services. Your role will not only ensure efficient operations but also foster innovation and collaboration, making a tangible difference in the lives of the people we serve.
