The Role:
The Financial Control & Processing Team is part of Exchequer Services Division within the Finance & Governance directorate.
The team is responsible for the financial control, delivery and management of key services including SAP accounts payable, SAP accounts receivable, payable functions relating to Adult Social Care through MOSAIC, the SAP master data and user management functions and services and the banking functions for both internal and external customers.
About you:
You will be the principal operational and strategic lead responsible for delivering Financial Control & Processing for the Council.
You will be an inspirational and operational leader and be able to drive forward strategic change, work on your own initiative and able to inspire confidence in staff and customers. You will have experience and knowledge of relevant aspects of local government finance including local authority accounting and financial administration.
You will be responsible for the implementation and refining of FC&P strategy to delivery key transformational change working alongside other Council departments, including a comprehensive review of the current ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) system.
You will lead the FC&P team in modernisation delivering transformational change to a ‘digital first’ corporate approach.

Additional salary details
This role attracts JNC benefits to the value of £2,724 Per annum.
