The role

We are looking for an exceptional CIPS-qualified senior contracts and procurement manager to lead the contracts team within Corporate Facilities Management (CFM). Do you have the drive, enthusiasm and commitment to hit the ground running in this key role within a fast paced facilities management department? Can you quickly build collaborative client relationships, lead and develop your team of contract managers and officers and work across a variety of functions, bringing enthusiasm, drive, commitment and a can do attitude to the role?

If you have a proven track record in managing the full procurement and contract management cycle within facilities management and have extensive experience of strategy development, change management, report writing, substantial service redesign, a comprehensive understanding of governance processes and a track record of developing and implementing major work programmes we want to hear from you.

You will lead the Council’s corporate procurement and contract strategy for pan Council facilities management contracted services driving change, service improvements and delivering sustainable cost efficiencies, whilst establishing and maintaining good working relationships with suppliers, contractors and stakeholders across the Council. As lead procurement and contracts subject matter expert within CFM you will ensure that the Council’s strategic facilities management and ancillary contracts are properly procured and contract managed. You will ideally have considerable experience of NEC3 or other Government Procurement Solution contracts gained from local or central government or a similar environment.

Additional salary details

In addition to a base salary of £51,663 - £64,725, this role attracts a JNC benefits B package to the value of £2724 (pro rata and reviewed annually).  

Recruitment timetable
