The Role:
We are looking to recruit a Handyperson who is experienced, highly motivated, a multi-skilled tradesman with excellent communication skills to join our Handyperson team working across Southwark.
The Handyperson Service is part of the Council’s Private Sector Housing & Adaptations team which helps vulnerable people to continue living independently in their own homes. You will be required to carry out small repairs (minor carpentry and plumbing work), minor adaptations, and energy efficiency work on behalf of people living across all tenures.
We will provide a van fully equipped with tools and a supportive team/environment to help you in delivering this very successful service.
About You:
The successful candidate will have a relevant trade i.e. Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrician, etc and at least 5 years experience in dealing with repairs or general building work, the experience of assessing repairs/minor adaptations, estimating/quoting on potential works, ordering/purchasing of materials and have excellent customer facing skills, etc.
