About the Role:

As a Group Exercise Instructor, you will lead and deliver a variety of high-energy and engaging group fitness classes to members of all abilities. You will be responsible for creating an inclusive, fun, and motivating environment that promotes fitness and wellbeing.

You’ll be working in a brand-new facility with top-of-the-line equipment and support from a friendly and energetic team. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about helping others achieve their fitness goals.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective group exercise classes for a variety of fitness levels
  • Create a positive, supportive atmosphere that encourages participation and inclusivity
  • Ensure the safety of all participants by providing clear instructions and guidance
  • Assist with the development and implementation of class schedules
  • Encourage and motivate participants to reach their personal fitness goals
  • Stay up to date with the latest fitness trends and exercise techniques
  • Provide excellent customer service and foster a welcoming, professional environment
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

About You:

  • A nationally recognized Group Exercise Instructor qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching a variety of group exercise classes is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passionate about fitness and helping others succeed
  • Ability to adapt to different fitness levels and create a positive experience for everyone
  • First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain

Holistic Hourly rate: £36.03 Per Hour

Active Hourly rate: £30.17 Per Hour

Southwark Leisure Services operates across several sites, seven days a week from early morning to late night. There is a requirement for the post holder on occasions, to work outside normal office hours and at different venues to meet the needs of the service.

  • Job Type: Casual 
  • Some weekend and evening work will be required to meet service needs.
