The role

Salary range:

The salary range for this position is: £42,855 - £50,088

 

The role is key to the day to day effective functioning of the Governor Services team. The coordinator manages day to day administration and business support for the team and contributes to the overall efficacy of the service.

You will contribute to the provision of administrative support (including a clerking service) to school and academy Boards, the discharge of the statutory duties of the Local Authority (LA) in respect of school governance and the development of effective governance (including governor training). You will work with the head of service to monitor meeting allocations and coordinate meeting cover where needed. 

The coordinator role is outward facing dealing with our customers (schools and governors) to provide a high quality, timely and efficient service. 

The expectation is that you will support clerking of around 9 meetings per year and cover where needed. This area is flexible and dependent on workload.

About you:

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will have experience of working with IT programmes e.g. Microsoft Office including advanced word-processing. You will have the ability to manage your own work, to prioritise and to meet tight deadlines.

You will have experience of working in the education sector and specifically within school governance. You will have a detailed knowledge and understanding of a wide range of educational matters, including regulations and legislation around school governance.

Additional details

The role is part time, 4 days per week, working flexibly from home and office in line with business needs.
