The Role:
Two exciting new opportunities have arisen for the appointment of two full time and permanent Finance Officers- Credit Control & Debt Recovery within the Financial Control section.
As an active and enthusiastic officer, you will be an important part of this very busy section, whose responsibilities include the operational running of the Council’s main financial system, SAP (vendors, customers, users, chart of accounts); managing the Council’s Sundry Debt portfolio; managing Corporate Refunds and Write-off processing. This involves the provision of expert advice, guidance and support to both new and existing users and business units and, ensuring audit compliance in our processes. The team have challenging performance targets which are closely monitored. However, you will be rewarded by your valuable contribution to ensuring that the team meet these targets.
About You:
You'll come to us with experience of computer use to include excellent knowledge of SAP, and knowledge of MS Office to include Excel spreadsheet; knowledge of public sector finance, experience of working in debt recovery and credit control function, and managing a portfolio of debtors, and a good eye for details.
