The Role
Due to maternity leave an opportunity has arisen for a social worker to work within Adopt London South Family Finding Team.
We are looking for a very pro active family finder to work alongside Southwark and Lewisham where children need adoption planning and outcomes.
The role will be to continue to develop the excellent Early Permanence work established across Southwark children’s social work teams.
The Family Finding Team also works creatively together with 8 other Local Authority partners, to reduce delay for all children with an adoption plan and will be implementing the UEA Moving to Adoption transition model.
A priority for ALS and LA is to reduce delay for children of Black and Minority ethnic backgrounds, especially boys who wait the longest for new families.
There will be opportunities for cross London working and development within the wider Adopt London partnership.
Additional Details - Applicant must also:
- Hold a recognised social work qualification
- Have a current registration with Social Work England
- Hold or undergo a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.
