 The Role

Southwark has declared a climate emergency and work is well underway to transform the council and the borough so that we achieve our ambition to be carbon neutral by 2030.

Do you want to be part of the team making this vision a reality? If so, we are looking for a number of enthusiastic and experienced individuals who can transform their passion for tackling climate change into practical action that changes how the council works and leads and inspires residents and partners to do the same.

We are recruiting for a number of roles to support the delivery of the council’s climate change programme. This role will work across the council and with our partners to deliver a range of climate change projects, securing funding for the future scheme and helping shape the policy landscape in the borough. These roles will be part of a small team responsible for delivering one of the council’s top priorities;

  • Climate Change & Energy Project Manager (Grade 11)
  • Climate Change Project Officer (Grade 9)
  • Research & Policy Officer (Grade 9)

Additional Information:

- This is a Fixed Term Contract for 24 months

- Standard 36 hours, Monday - Friday
