The Role
We are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to directly support a member of the Corporate Management Team at Southwark Council. Southwark is an amazingly diverse and vibrant area with a strong sense of community.
You will work closely with the member of the Corporate Management Team to ensure their workflow is well organised and that their systems and processes support them to deliver effectively. You will be their Support partner and help keep their diary organised, their emails managed and their meeting documentation on-hand. At their right-hand, you will be expected to compose and co-ordinate briefings and letters, deal with residents, members and officers as well as providing an excellent and efficient front of office service.
You will also be expected to work with the wider executive support team to support the Corporate Management Team in times of absence.

About You
Experience and key attributes:
It is essential that you have experience of working as an Executive Assistant (or equivalent) and providing support to at least Director Level. This is a fast-paced office, and it is an exciting opportunity for the right person, to set up a new office, systems and processes for a senior leader.
You must be highly motivated and organised. You must also be able to work at pace, and often to tight deadlines. You need to be able to forward plan, use your initiative, and you must have excellent organisational and time management skills. You will have experience of administering high level board meetings, advanced pc skills, along with using MS applications software packages, which is essential.
You will be able to demonstrate your initiative in this role and ensure you deliver excellent customer service to improve the customer experience. You will enjoy working directly with customers & stakeholders to provide an excellent service and recognise the importance of first-class communication skills to help deliver a fast, effective and quality service to meet all our customer’s needs.
