About the EDI Partnership Officer Role:

Partnership Southwark is our Local Care Partnership within the overall South East London Integrated Care System, working with health, care and non-statutory organisations and local communities to bring together services and support at a neighbourhood level that are focused on those most affected by long-standing health, social and racial inequalities.

Based within the councils Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team this post will have a strategic role in developing the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion programme of work for Partnership Southwark. It will work with partners across the Health and Social Care sectors and beyond. The work will involve reviewing commissioning and service delivery plans for Health and Social Care ensuring best practice in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion work to tackle health inequalities across the partnership.

 

The role will lead, develop, and communicate the delivery of the Partnership Southwark EDI plan across various stakeholders within the health and care system. The post holder will ensure outputs and outcomes are delivered effectively and on time.

About you

We are looking to recruit individuals who have:

- Previous experience of working within an EDI role

- A proven track record of delivering EDI projects

- A strong knowledge of EDI principles and good practice

- The ability to work closely with colleagues to manage and implement action plans

- The ability to prioritise work and to meet tight deadlines

- High level written and verbal communication skills

- The flexibility and the ability to work effectively in a large and complex public sector organisation.

- The ability to be well-organised, detail-oriented and goal-motivated

You don’t need to have worked in the sector before. But you will need the enthusiasm and drive to understand the field we work in, and a strong commitment to equality and ensuring residents are central to everything we do. You will also need to share our values of integrity, transparency, respect, fairness and teamwork.
