This is why we are developing and transforming our early intervention service delivery to a Family Hub model. This is an innovative programme delivering wholesale reform of the delivery model of support to parents, carers and children aged from conception to age 19 or up to 25 for those with special education needs and disabilities. We are developing new ways of supporting parents with the skills and knowledge they need for their children to thrive and reach their potential.

About the role

We are seeking a capable EPEC lead to deliver this evidenced based service model, coordinating the recruitment of parents as champions and coaches within communities to support the delivery of a parent led practitioner development programme and to increase peer-led provision of 0-2 focused parenting programmes

You will be responsible for leading the EPEC groups with Southwark in the community, working closely with the community. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

- To lead and facilitate the EPEC Hubs’ development and delivery of peer-led parenting model within Family Hubs

- Take a lead role in delivering a strong parenting offer for the borough

- Hold management responsibility for parenting workers and targeted parenting programmes for 0-12 year olds

- To ensure day to day operational running of the EPEC Hub and Being a Parent group content, methods and values.

- Ensure the efficient monitoring of EPEC activity and the evaluation of outcomes.

- To promote best practice and provide professional guidance for parenting practitioners (professional and volunteers).

- Build strong relationships with families and professional partners to affect change and improving outcomes for parents, their children and families
