The Role

Working across Southwark and the Shared Technology Service with Brent and Lewisham, you will play a key role in enabling us to transform, evolve and develop the services we provide across our residents, businesses, partners and wider community.
At Southwark we are investing as part of our Digital & Technology Transformation and we are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to work with the CDTO and wider Technology & Digital Services team to join us on our journey to innovate and shape our technology architecture for the future.
About the role
As part of the Senior Leadership team you will be key in the delivery of our Digital Strategy to create a modern environment that will revolutionise how we provide services to our community. Working with our partners and shared service with Brent and Lewisham you will be a key driving force in challenging the status quo and acting as a technology evangelist to ensure we are adopting leading edge technology that is fit for purpose for Southwark.
We want to innovate and invest in the right technology, and you will play a key role in helping us achieve our aspirations. Your role will span all areas of technology from reviewing our technology landscape and application roadmap, to helping devise our Cyber Security strategy building our architecture capabilities from the ground up to create a best in breed architecture team.
About You
We are looking for someone who is proactive and has the experience of working at a strategic and operational level to develop architecture functions and is passionate about technology and driving new ways of thinking across complex organisations.
- Experience of working in an Enterprise or Head of Architecture role with experience of building and developing architecture teams across all key technology disciplines (i.e Cloud, Cyber, Applications)
- Experience of working at a strategic level with partners, vendors and shared services to develop solutions that drive innovation and new solutions
- Experience of developing and managing Technical Design Authority, implementing best practice around architecture, Lean and Agile Methodologies
- Experience of building and maintaining collaborative relationships across organisational boundaries and stakeholder groups including internal and external partners to enable the smooth delivery of Technology & Digital Services.
- The ability to explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues, and to write clear reports and other formal documentation for solution evaluations and deployments is essential.
