The role
About Southwark:
Southwark is a large, ambitious and progressive council with a ‘can do’ attitude and enviable reputation. As a Council, we are successful, passionate and forward-thinking. We are committed to our ‘Fairer Futures for All’ promise which ensures that our residents and businesses are central to everything we do. The Role:
Southwark has declared a climate emergency and work is well underway to transform the council and the borough so that we achieve our ambition to be carbon neutral by 2030.
Do you want to be part of making this vision a reality? If so, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is confident in data gathering and reporting with a keen eye for detail, who also has a passion for tackling climate change into practical action that changes how the council works, and which leads and inspires residents and partners to do the same.
We are recruiting for an Energy and Sustainability Officer to support the delivery of the council’s climate change programme.
About You:
You will be required to process financial payments and invoicing for the council’s housing stock, together with data collection and reporting.
You will also be working across the council and with our partners to help deliver a range of climate change projects. In this role you will be part of a small team responsible for delivering one of the council’s top priorities.
If you think you have the right values, experience and expertise to add to our culture, please do not hesitate to apply.
