The role
TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE PLEASE ENSURE YOU SUBMIT AN APPLICATION VIA OUR DEDICATED MICROSITE: https://www.southwarkhrjobs.com/the-roles/
At Southwark Council, we believe our greatest strength to be our people. Driven by values that promote openness, honesty, and accountability, we’re committed to ensuring our staff, residents, and communities are enabled to reach their full potential.
As an ER Case Advisor, you’ll take on a key role tackling case work across our organisation. Your goal? To maintain positive relationships between the workforce and the Council. Policy compliance, conflict resolutions, capability, ill health management – you’ll deal with all kinds of cases, using your proven ER expertise. The key is to be consistent and keep all parties well informed.
At this level, you’ll be working with managers, HR colleagues, trade union representatives, external partners, and legal services too. Clear communication will be essential along with a consistent approach. With your smart thinking and solutions-focused style, you’ll present diverse options to ensure every case is resolved.
Whatever the task – from supporting HR Business Partner strategies to taking ownership of complex cases – you’ll be a subject matter expert. Confident in your knowledge of ER practices and employment law, you’ll be qualified to at least CIPD level 5 (or equivalent). With this background, you’ll be used to working with TU and ACAS and have the people skills to build confidence in the service through your sound advice. However, you’ll always be keen to learn and build on your expertise.
In return for creating a strong ER experience, we can offer a flexible hybrid model of working and a focused development plan. Ready to strengthen your ER knowledge and skills? At Southwark, you can.
By harnessing our individual and collective contributions, we have the power to create a better future for Southwark. Use your power to help us build a next generation workforce for a next generation council. Join us.
