The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who holds a relevant academic or professional qualification in direct work with families to level 3 or above to contribute to the delivery of an ‘outstanding’ Family Early Help service.

Southwark Family Early Help (FEH) provides early help through a whole family approach based on collaboration with families and with partners from schools, health, children’s services and the community. This is an exciting opportunity for a practitioner seeking to develop their skill and expertise in supporting families in need, to prevent problems and difficulties escalating to the stage that statutory or legal intervention is required.

We are looking for a candidate who has experience and working knowledge of an early intervention setting and statutory work with children and families. The successful candidate will be an exceptional keyworker who is actively seeking professional development and the opportunity to to be a part of a team driving best practice in whole family work. They will be keen to support the work of early help practitioners to deliver interventions to different family members, helping assess their needs and develop a whole family plan. You will be able to demonstrate strong skills in engaging children, young people and other family members, and build collaborative working relationships with your team and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children.

You will have an awareness of education issues and understanding of how to work with schools and families to drive engagement of children and families in educational attendance and ambition.
