The role

Are you ready to step into an apprentice role where your impact is felt at the very core of one of London’s most vibrant boroughs? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and committed person to join on an 22-month Apprenticeship, working in the Early Careers & Apprenticeships Team, within Organisational at Southwark Council.

What you’ll do:

  • The Early Careers & Apprenticeships Team aim to deliver the vision of increased opportunities for residents by implementation of new programmes to best support our residents into meaningful employment.
  • There will be a range of projects involved, but will influence Southwark as a whole, in line with the developing the People Plan and Southwark 2030 strategy.
  • As early careers programmes run across the whole organisation, it is fundamental that there is good staff engagement and communications to ensure that everyone comes on the journey with us, and their voice is heard.
  • Apprentices will be at the very heart of the improved service, doing important work that will help shape how things work in the future.

Key Requirements:

Apprenticeships are more popular than ever, as more people look to vocational qualifications to help get into the job that is right for them.

  • It’s all about learning on the job – combining valuable experience gained from doing the job, with focused and relevant study towards a level 3 qualification in Business administration.
  • Applicants must be able to work full time and have 2 passes at A-level, or equivalent.
