The role:
The Environment, Neighbourhoods and Growth Department is looking to recruit a Divisional Business Manager. The Department is public facing providing highly visible service to residents that shape the quality of their lives including environmental services, planning and growth, leisure, culture, parks, public safety and climate change. The Divisional Business Manager will assist the Departmental Business Manager on the core delivery of the directorate business support to ensure that the customer services delivered within EN&G are of high quality and that effective management processes are in place. They will build strong internal networks and relationships. They will ensure the department is compliant in terms of its Directorate support functions and is actively contributing to the departmental and corporate strategy and performance framework, in addition to suggesting innovative developments.
About You:
You will be confident in building relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, representing senior executives and supporting team members. The post-holder will assist in decision making and service improvement to achieve customer excellence. You will have experience of delivering core support services for executive roles and have the ability to influence and negotiate with others to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Just as important will be your ability to deliver what is required at speed and to anticipate forthcoming business requirements.
