The role:
Technology and Digital Services (TDS) are a part of the Resources directorate and work with Shared Technology Services to provide technology and digital services to the organisation and the residents or Southwark, through our website(s).
TDS manage a number of the software applications used by our organisation to deliver services to the residents of Southwark as well as the ICT hardware, networking and infrastructure our organisation relies on.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Digital Project Manager. This role will be key to the ongoing delivery of projects to ensure delivery of the organisation’s Digital Strategy.
Key responsibilities
• Lead and manage the successful delivery of complex digital projects from initiation to completion, ensuring smooth transitions to business-as-usual operations.
• Provide expert project management advice, ensuring that projects align with business goals and deliver measurable benefits.
• Manage the IT element of business wide digital transformation projects, ensuring innovative solutions are implemented on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
• Support the redesign of processes and systems to drive organisational change, improving service delivery through modern digital solutions.
• Ensure projects adhere to accessibility standards and best practices, championing inclusivity in all digital initiatives.
How will you make an impact as our Digital Project Manager?
• Proven experience in managing multiple complex IT and digital projects within large, multi-functional organisations.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, with Prince2 or equivalent qualifications.
• Expertise in business transformation, service redesign, and process improvement models.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Skills in risk management, financial oversight, and ensuring projects stay on track, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Proficiency in leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver organisational and cultural change.
• Deep understanding of accessibility standards and a commitment to ensuring digital inclusivity across all services.
• Extensive experience in leveraging Microsoft 365 technologies, including Dynamics 365 and SharePoint, for successful project delivery.
