About you:

You will lead complex digital and technology projects and effectively manage multi-disciplinary and multiple project teams to deliver change across the council. These projects will impact on the future operating model of services and be a key part of delivering the council’s Modernise Strategy

Our vision is for IT to be a valued business partner, providing innovative services to our residents and staff. You will help drive the design and delivery of our digital and IT programmes, bringing to life how technology and innovation can enable better services. You will provide strategic digital transformation advice, guidance and challenge to senior management in your departments and act as the voice of the business within IT & Digital Services.

You will bring to the role extensive, relevant knowledge and experience of IT best practice including:
- Strong experience and understanding of the digital agenda within the public sector with proven experience of building and developing relationships across a range of business areas
- Significant experience of working in a customer centric organisation, driving digital technology and transformation across a complex organisation
- Strong background in delivering business change, delivering large projects and designing digital solutions to enable digital change and innovation
- Strong business change and stakeholder management at all levels with internal and external partners with the proven experience of developing strong relationships across organisation boundaries
 -Experience of acting in a change capacity with a passion for harnessing information systems and technology to improve organisational effectiveness and meeting user needs.

You will be a self-motivated and dynamic individual who is able to challenge and influence others, develop and maintain collaborative working relations across IT and business departments; proven inter-personal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to act at a senior level internally and externally.

Using your change management skills and experience, you will help guide your departments through this journey to ensure they become more digitally enabled and innovative so that we can revolutionise the way we deliver services to our community.
