The Role:

Responsible for delivering the Council’s short, medium and long-term accommodation plans, including the rationalisation and modernisation of the 199 operational building portfolio. Through robust management, ensure that the insourced and outsourced FM service delivery model operates in line with statutory and mandatory building related legislation, providing a compliant, clean, secure, and well-maintained estate. 

In addition, you will drive the continuous improvement of building responsible persons and support with the delivery of training for facilities managers, officers and non-FM staff, ensuring all staff with building management responsibility are aware of their legal and statutory and workplace Health and Safety responsibilities. 

As the 'deputy head of FM operations' they will act as CFM’s deputy liaison officer with external authorities such as the Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade, when event or incident planning. 

About You:

Successful candidates will have significant experience of overseeing and delivering high quality facilities management support, managing Health & Safety and compliance management systems including risk assessments, method statements and managing risk ensuring all sites are compliant, safe, clean and welcoming for staff, visitors and residents. You will have detailed knowledge and understanding of key compliance disciplines i.e. Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006, The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, ACoP L8, Health & Safety good practices etc.

This post attracts JNC benefits to the value of £2,724 Per annum.
