Southwark Older People and Physical Disabilities Service
We are currently seeking exceptional Customer Support Officers to take ownership and responsibility for the queries received from our customers and residents. This is a challenging and rewarding role where you will get to make a real difference to our customers and help us to reach suitable resolutions for both the business and our service users.
The role:
The role requires you to have exceptional listening and problem solving skills in order to resolve queries received at the first point of contact in a timely and positive manner. No two days are the same so you must enjoy working in a varied and busy environment.
You will already be experienced in customer services, be customer focused and results driven. It is essential that you have a can-do attitude and a positive approach, including flexibility and adaptability and the ability to remain composed under pressure. A natural multi-tasker, you will operate in an organized and structured manner; be detail driven and capable of producing outstanding quality work at all times.
You will be responsible for undertaking a range of administration tasks. The main aspect of the role will be to complete telephone screening assessments with clients in line with the Care Act over the phone; therefore, highly developed interpersonal skills will be key to this customer-focused role.
You should have knowledge and understanding of disability, conditions as well as disability equipment and the application of Care Act Legislation.
You will need to have high personal standards towards completing work and personal conduct, be highly organised and have excellent report writing and time management skills to enable you to work to tight deadlines

This role is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal conviction
