The role

We have two vacancies one full time 36 hours and one  part time vacancy (26 Hours) to fill in our My Southwark Homeowners Customer Service Telephone contact centre team

The role will include you working within our offices, where your duties will include working directly with customers, assisting them to access a wide range of council services and updating and maintaining computerised record systems at our busy telephone Contact Centre in Peckham.

You will be trained in a office environment and initially then you will be working from home, whist we remain in Covid Lockdown.

You will gain in depth experience in prevailing legislation, including: Housing, Local Government, finance, Data Protection Acts, IT, customer service, administration and technical knowledge.


You will also benefit from attending workshops and other training activities to develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours attributes.


Responsibilities:
• First point of contact for incoming telephone calls and service requests received by telephone and e-mail


• Interpret and log requests, inputting details into an in-house system, providing tracking and regular updates to the status of the request through to work complete status in line with Service Level Agreement


• Sort and dispatch calls to relevant departments


• Prioritize urgent jobs


• Escalate any complaints as required and support continuous improvement for homeowners within Southwark


• Ad hoc administration duties

All tasks are to be completed to agreed timescales, standards of accuracy and presentation is very important to our organisation.

Team working and a flexible approach is essential.
