The Role:
We are looking to recruit 3 Customer Resolution support officers to support the Repairs, Environment and Complaints team with enquiries, concerns or requests via email and telephone. The officer will be responsible for providing excellent administrative support to meet the requirements of the Customer Resolution Team. It is a challenging and varied role, and is best suited for someone who has excellent communication and organisational skills. The role will be the essential first point of contact into the team and will be responsible for providing a consistent and professional high level of customer service at all times. The role will also involve; interrogating IT systems to retrieve information; maintaining databases and filing systems; telephone answering, organising processing confidential and sensitive customer information for a number of services. The Officer will be working in a highly functional team, which operates across a number of services, therefore the ability to be a good team player and form effective working relationships is vital.

About You:

  • Experience working in an office environment.
  • Experience in dealing with the public or service users and internal customers, providing a high level of customer service • An understanding of the learning and development function and its role in an organisation
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines and targets • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a team. To develop effective and supportive relationships with colleagues, other departments and external agencies and to support and contribute to team objectives
  • Experienced with the use of popular business computer packages and applications in the workplace, knowledge of IT systems and the importance of accurate and timely data collection and analysis

Additional Information:
Please note this role is internal only – as such, we can only accept applications from current Southwark employees or agency workers who are currently on active assignment at Southwark Council.

Please note this role is being offered on a fixed term contract basis for a duration of 12 months. The hours will be 36 hours a week Monday - Friday
